BA, Economics 1985, MS, Economics 1987, and JD 1992. Mehron has been practicing law in Texas since 1992. After graduation from law school, he served as an Assistant Attorney General in Austin, Texas. From 1996 until 1998, he practiced law at Gardere & Wynne, L.L.P. in Dallas. In 1998, Mehron founded Azarmehr & Associates, P.C. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit and the U.S. District Court, Eastern, Northern, and Western Districts of Texas.

Wells T. Wakefield, Associate Attorney |
Wells T. Wakefield (Associate Attorney) received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish Literature from the University of Texas at Arlington, and his J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2006. While at St. Mary’s he was a student attorney with the Immigration and Human Rights Clinic. Wells has lived and worked throughout Latin America. Wells is married and has two children. |
Allison Leigh DeFrees, Of Counsel |
Allison graduated from the University of Virginia in 1993 with a Bachelor's degree in English Literature; and from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law with a J.D. in 1996. She has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 1996 and in New York since 2003. Before concentrating in immigration law, Allison worked in the area of entertainment law and general litigation. Allison has been with Azarmehr & Associates, P.C. since 2000, and recently opened the firm's New York office.

Gilbert Ferrer, Of Counsel - Mr. Ferrer graduated from Harvard Law School. He was previously Senior Counsel for Immigration Law at Dell Computers Incorporation, and was counsel to the firm of Hughes & Luce, in Austin, Texas. From 1987 to 1997, Mr. Ferrer was the managing partner of Ferrer & Nolan and Ferrer, Pastor & Enriquez. Mr. Ferrer is a Counsel for Cohen & Gresser, LLP Law Firm in New York City. Mr. Ferrer is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He is admitted to practice in New York State, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, U.S. Supreme Court. |
Diego Martnez-Cant, Of Counsel |
Mr. Martnez-Cant received a Law Degree from Universidad Regiomontana, A.C. in Monterrey, Mexico and a Master of Laws Degree (LL.M.) from Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago, IL. He then worked as a Foreign Associate in the New York office of Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton, L.L.P. Mr. Martnez-Cant is a member of Mexican Bar Association and Corporate Lawyers National Association. His practices corporate and commercial law. |
Rachel Bus, Contract Attorney |
Rachel received her B.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of Arizona in 2001, graduating cum laude. She then served as a volunteer in the Peace Corps for two years in Ecuador, South America. She recently received her J.D. from the University of Arizona’s James E. Rogers College of Law, where she spent three semesters working with the school’s immigration law clinic. She is licensed to practice in the state of Texas. |

Claudia Chairez joined Azarmehr and Associates, P.C. in March 2006. Prior to joining our firm, Claudia worked for over 3 years in a non-profit organization dedicated in offering legal services to immigrants across Central Texas. She supports our firm in the family department focusing on family based petitions, naturalizations, and consular processing. |

Bijoy Mani graduated in 1991 from Mahatma Gandhi University in India with degree in Commerce. Prior to joining our firm, Bijoy worked for over 14 years in Middle East and India in Accounting and Administration. |
Heather T. Sholty

Heather received a B.A. cum laude in Art History at University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee (1988) and a M.A. in Art History from Southern Methodist University, Dallas Texas (1992). Prior to joining Azarmehr & Associates, P.C., in 1998, she worked as Adjunct Professor at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas from 1991-1994. Heather's community activities include: Campus Advisory Board, Barton Hills Elementary and Girl Scout Brownie Troop 1240 Leader. |
Ana Silva |
Ana Silva graduated at the University of Texas at Brownsville (UTB/TSC) on December 2004, obtaining her Diploma on International Business as a Major and Microeconomics as a minor. From October 2004 to April 2006 she work in Loera Customs Brokerage Inc. as a Manager on the Import & Export Department. She joined Azarmehr´s & Associates on June 2006. |

Prior to joining our firm, she had 4 years of experience as a paralegal. She has also served on volunteer basis for Political Asylum Project of Austin. She is currently studying at St. Edward’s University majoring in Political Science. |
